Day 27 - 7/22/24
That nettle sting I thought I got at the Benjamins has developed into a 3” hot welt on my leg. I think it may have been a ground bee and I’m having a reaction. Because it feels like it’s on fire I took Benadryl all day and that made me sleep a lot.
So today we hung out at Louisa island. I finished my book, napped, took the kids on a hike around the island only to find they the island was a bit bigger then I had thought and was slow going with rocks hopping. So Richard bush wacked us back to the beach. We admired the work of the local beavers although we have yet to see one.
After dinner and another pill I took another nap and played taps before we went ashore for fire and maple marshmallow smores. I admired the bay with the mountains as a back drop and a beautiful moon rise.
It was a slow day, and that’s ok:). We prepare for a few epic days ahead so no one is complaining. My leg seemed to be getting better by days end and a little more meds to help me sleep and not scratch my leg off will help.
