Murphy Park, Egg Harbor, MI

I came here with my Vizsla friend, Kiwi, when anchored in Egg Harbor.  Mom and dad had to bum a ride a few miles down the road from Kiwi’s mom to get to this beach because they said the Egg Harbor Beach that I could see from my perch onboard was a 1 paw beach. 

I was so happy when I got to the beach.  There were some people hanging out but they had their own dogs which mom says is good sign that the beach is friendly.  I didn’t see any no dog postings either (Just clean up after me)!  Mom and dad walked me down the beach to what they was a boat launch. I didn’t care. All I saw was a pier!  As soon as they pulled out my chuck-it I was down to clown!  I simply can’t take my eye off a tennis ball in need of a rescue.  I spent so much time entertaining everyone on shore while I did my best dock jumps. My poor friend is much younger than me so I spent some time trying to teach him how to jump off the pier like me.  Kiwi got some jumps off, but mostly the pier was all about me. 

No worries, my mom didn’t want me to tier to long in the big water so we moved to playing Frisbee on the beach. I do love a good game of beach Frisbee.  The beach is a little narrow and my humans’ skills with the disc is 6 out of 10, so I ended up having to dive for my friesbee in the water a few times. My humans were thrilled to see me do that trick for the first time.

After a long time, we finally had a cute golden retriever and his family join us on the beach.  They were very friendly, but they had nicer toys then us and mom and dad said we weren’t playing (aka listening) well and moved us back down the beach for just a little more pier time.

I think mommy is sneaky.  She got me on the dock so when I came out of the water it would be on concrete and she could re-leash me and return me to the car without a coat full of sand.

It was a great day at Murphy Park and I got my first “sand in the snoot” picture of the year.  My friend Kiwi got his first ever snoot picture.
