Day 21 - 7/16/24
After about 5 really long days of logistics and some high winds predicted for the day we slept in and decided to stay here for a day or so.
The kids have been given one of our extra dinghy batteries to monitor and control themselves for their own electricity management with solar. They are loving having that big battery to themselves but it is also teaching them how to set up the solar for it and manage. After the solar was set for the day Cory made breakfast for us all and we went on a dinghy tour of some of the many islands right here. We saw Blue Heron and another bald eagle. We saw a beavers damn. Two boats came in as well so we are not along anymore but they are far away. We helped tie a power boat to shore and then came back for a long lazy afternoon. The winds didn’t really pick up and our boat was pretty exposed to the 25 knot winds coming from the west. Our anchor is well set so we just rode it out. More winds are expected tomorrow and everyone is really deep into novels so we may just relax one more day.
