Day 54 - 8/18/24
More big waves today. So much so that Kona didn’t get to swim. We got shore coffee, read books, made bloody Mary’s and, you guessed it, napped. The waves were huge and the sun danced on the water making the colors brilliant. When we returned after sunset the pier was closed and the waves even larger. Hard to get a picture but we were fascinated by the square waves being bounced off the breakwater. Kona was frustrated to only play fetch along the beach and not in the water. We have one more day on this quiet paradise. I don’t think we have ever just dropped anchor in one place for 6 nights straight. It always takes me a few days to get into a rhythm and now that I am it is harder to think of moving again so soon.
