1st Mates Log - An introduction

Hello and Welcome!

For years I have written about my adventures.  I used to write a yearly family and friends letter. I write up trip reports of our epic adventures for myself and often share them with those in my social media world.  I have been sharing live updates on our adventures online for years.  I have found a lot of joy in the documentation for myself, complete with pictures (!), to enjoy and reference for years to come.  I have also come to find that many really like to follow along, especially in the summer when we take our beautiful sailboat all over the Great Lakes.  In the year 2024 I kept a social media mini blog of our 54 day adventure and this year I'd like to take it a step further and create a space for me to share not only our journey's but find my voice in writing.  If you find yourself here, thank you for joining along! You'll see I'm completely new to all this and there will be a learning curve and I look forward to watching this develop.  Send comments, send suggestions, I would really appreciate the conversations.

Together on this adventure Richard and I have found a deeper love of each other, a garden rich of new and old friends, a respect for the sea and mother nature and a continued renewal of vows to live each day to the fullest.
