Day 7 - 7/2/24
I was alerted that someone on a local page had posted a photo of our boat at Beaver Island. I responded on the public page thanking them for the lovely photo. They sent me a drone photo of us last night that is pretty epic. The weather was windy and supposed to be raining so we took the day to relax and walk around. We had some whiskey aboard that somehow went bad. Really bad. Smelled like mold. I finally convinced Richard that it was time to let it go. He was terribly sad to see it go to waste so he sent it off in style.
The weather has been so strange this year. Jodi said Mother Nature is perimenopausal this year and I couldn’t agree more. But thankfully we have the time and it’s been really nice to drop anchor for 4-5 days at a time and use our scooters to see much more then we have seen before. We have also rested much more and just relaxed. We caught a live musician at the locally brewery with Jodi and Brooks after we had made our homemade freeze dried lasagna for dinner.
